Adelaide needs a new lease on life. Adelaide has the potential to be a vibrant, life filled city and deserves no longer to carry the nickname ‘delayed. I want Adelaide to develop community spaces that will bring people to the CBD, like other cities have done so well. I want Adelaide to be a city that no longer hangs up the ‘closed for business’ sign at 5 o’clock. I want Adelaide to be a city for life, not just work.  With new residential development the city will become home to a diverse group of residents. I want Adelaide to develop unique precincts, each with their own sense of identity. I want Adelaide to consider foot traffic in its planning, not just automotive traffic.  Other cities have shown us that a more pedestrian friendly CBD promotes life and atmosphere. I want Adelaide to be the magnet that draws people from the suburbs and confidently plays its role as the heart of South Australia.
